Former Submission Series Champion Lennox tried everything he could to hold Akecheta down and keep him from ever earning a shot at the Submission Series Championship.
Akecheta was the wrestler that Lennox had to beat in order to accumulate enough wins to earn the Submission Championship; a task he accomplished by cheating Akecheta of a win in his debut against Lennox in Submission 12.
Lennox then formed "Team Lennox" to gang up on Akecheta in Tag Team Beatdown 3 in an effort to humiliate him into going away, but Akecheta won.
When Akecheta officially earned the shot by defeating fan favorite Major to become the new
#1 Contender, Lennox was forced to eventually face him.
However, with Lennox's loss to Xavier in the Undisputed Tournament Final --which included a stipulation proposed by Lennox that the loser retire -- he was forced to leave BWN.
Akecheta was immediately named the new Submission Series Champion.
However, after an entire year of failing to defend his title and not responding to BWN requests for a title defense, he was stripped.
Two years later, Akecheta returned in the best shape of his life to face Stryker, Thomas and 404Life in a Scramble to name the new Champion but was unsuccessful in his attempt to recapture his title and 404Life's Snake become the new Series Champion.
Eric retired due to neck and back injuries sustained elsewhere, and was on his way to an awesome match against undefeated Foxx in the Submission Tournament series, before retiring. |
